In the millennium year of2000 CHRISTHOMAS ASSOCIATES(CA) became a UK Limited Private company under the name of Consortium of Continuous Learning (CCL). CCL’s initial mission is to commit in promotingas the assessors and verifiers for the Corporation of Executives & Administrators (CEA) in conferring Professional Qualification taking into account of Work Oriented Learning.

The founder and Executive Board of Governors and Trustees believes that many developing countries are seeking some validations for their citizens, who have legitimatelyearned their respective professional qualifications but do not have international recognition. To fill this gap UK-CCL after their ten years’ steady progress and operation and came up in the year of March 2015 to offer the option of the Dual Award Professional Knowledge Equivalency Certification(DAPKEC) through their assessment and verification scheme of APEL.

Regional representatives have a crucial leading role in the delivery of UK-CCL vision and mandate. Their main activities are to gather relevant information to be used by UK-CCL to achieve its objectives.


The UK-CCL Validated Institution (UK- CCLVI) will be under the direct supervision of the UK-CCL Board of Governors &Trustees, which is executed by respective Nominated Country’s National Office of UK-CCL. The UK-CCL National Office responsibility to be the liaison unit between Professional Learning Academies and Vocational Training Organisations to facilitate Lifelong Professional Knowledge Qualification through their Awarding Alliance with respective and appropriate Professional Knowledge Awards. The country’s

National Office is headed by appointed National Country Director. The person for this position who have understood the entire vision, mission, aim and objective of UK-CCL’s concepts. UK-CCL’s focus is as an Independent Professional Knowledge Qualifications Assessor and Verifier who has two categories representations. One is known as Professional KnowledgeVocational Organisations and other to be Professional Knowledge Learning Organisations.

Professional KnowledgeVocational Organisations(PKVO) are business enterprises who has their internal Human Resource Division who take care of their employees Continuous Professional Development (CPD), having their own training policies and award their own certification. This CPD programmes should endeavour to enrich individuals with the latest technological changes in the respective field of working profession. This is assessed and verified by UK-CCL’s Accreditation for Career Progress Development (ACPD) scheme.

Professional KnowledgeLearning Organisations(PKLO), who are fully committed in facilitating learning and training through classroom tutorials offering respective learning syllabus with their own certification which is approved by their local governmental ministry. This is assessed and verified by UK-CCL’s Affirmation for Prior Experience & Learning (APEL) scheme.

UK-CCL take into consideration of the schemes of ACPD and APEL policies into consideration in order to offer their specific award of their Lifelong Work Experience Professional Knowledge Equivalency Certification, which is considered and accepted as a Dual Award Professional Knowledge Qualifications.

Requirements for APEL Representation

  • 1) The Organisation must be registered as a legal learning entity with provision of Learning and Training facilities.

  • 2) A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation must be submitted

  • 3) A list of Partners/Directors and Management Executives of the establishment together with their experience with detailed CVs must be submitted.

  • 4) Professionally Qualified and Experienced personnel who could deliver learning / training and can perform the Evaluation, Assessment and Verifications.

  • 5) The organisation must have sufficient infra-structure to facilitate the learning in accordance with the UK-CCL Professional Quality Management Standards 2005 :5001.

  • 6) The full list of names of Tutorial/Training Staff with their respective area of specialisation and CVs has to be submitted.

  • 7) The UK-CCL will independently conduct their own verification through their respective Country’s National Representative Office.

  • 8) A copy of the current Prospectus with the learning and training plan and advertisement campaign has to be forwarded.

  • 9) The organisation must meet local government requirements with regard to health and safety and other legal requirements.


  • a) Fully completed UK-CCL Application form.

  • b) A letter of request from the applicant stating the purpose of this endorsement, including full contact details.

  • c) A letter of reference either from your current employer or from a qualified professional.

  • d) Detailed CV with a brief profile of your achievements.

  • e) Scan Legally certified photocopy of Transcript(s) and Supporting Certificate(s) relating to academic, professional or vocational qualifications, which to be evaluated.

  • f) All documents have to be translated in English, (if applicable)

  • g) An appropriate fee to be included for this professional service and it is not refundable under any circumstance.

(UK-CCL needs photocopies of certificates/diploma, photocopies of course record/transcripts/mark-sheets. Please send only scan soft photocopies, which would be kept by UK-CCL. On receipt of the complete documentation and stipulated fees, UK-CCL will process your request. Upon successful evaluation and approval, UK-CCL would award the applicant with a Letter of Comparability and Dual Award Professional Knowledge Certificate of Equivalency.
